The Mission

PacifiCan’s original mark was developed by an internal government agency to bring a contemporary feel to the regional development agency. While the RDA has undergone a transition from Western Economic Development (BC & Alberta), to the stand-alone British Columbian agency, the wordmark, supplemental grapchis and colour palette didn’t feel representational of BC’s vastly diverse economic regions.

The Outcome

Throughout the partnership, we developed a newly revised identity system that takes inspiration from the Pacific region, while being representative of the people who inhabit our province. Special attention was placed on accessibility guidelines to ensure the branding was easily recognizable and identifiable for all those who might have visual impairments.
